About the PMI Retail SIG

Founded in 2000, the Retail SIG is a rapidly growing organization that promotes the utilization of project management in the retail industry. Our professionals understand and demonstrate the bottom-line value of specialist project managers within the multifaceted retail sector; and our SIG reflects the growing recognition that professional-level project management is a cost-effective tool for maximizing resources in the retail industry – not a luxury.

The Retail SIG is dedicated to advancing state-of-the-art of project management for retail project management professionals.

Our mission is to establish and promote the use of project management in the retail industry, and to provide our members with the knowledge and expertise to effectively manage change. We aim to fulfill our mission by providing networking and educational resources for retail-industry project management professionals throughout the world.

If you are interested in becoming a member, you must be a member of PMI.  Simply go to the PMI website and either sign up or login.  On your profile page you can choose to add a SIG to your membership profile.  There is a $20 fee to join our SIG.  If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact our Membership Vice Chair.
